Letter From Mrs. Etienne
March 22, 2021
Dear Parents:
We are informing you that several positive COVID-19 cases were identified at Beau Chêne High School recently. Out of an abundance of caution and for the safety of the staff and students, all Beau Chêne students will revert to virtual learning effective Tuesday, March 23, 2021. They will continue with virtual learning for the remainder of this week and will return back to face-to-face instruction after the Easter holiday (April 7, 2021).
Contact tracing is still being conducted. Please encourage your children to inform you of any signs and symptoms of illness. If your child tests positive for COVID-19, they will need to isolate and not return to school until it has been at least 10 days from the onset of their symptoms (or their test collection date if they do not have symptoms), they have not had fever for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications, and their other symptoms have improved.
CDC recommends that individuals who have been exposed to COVID-19 should self-quarantine for 10 days from their last exposure, monitor for symptoms, practice social distancing, and avoid public settings where close contact with others may occur including shopping centers, movie theaters, stadiums, workplaces, and schools.
We also ask that you call the Louisiana Department of Health Contact Tracing Team on behalf of your child at 1-877- 766-2130 to receive quarantine information and recommendations.
You will be notified today via JCALL as to further instructions concerning technology needs.
If you have any additional questions in relation to your child and COVID-19, please contact the school at 337-662- 5815. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope you understand that safety is our top priority.

Sincerely,
Tiffany Etienne, M.Ed.
Principal, Beau Chêne High School
