A few reminders of North Central High School Dress Code:
No hoodies! Only plain gray, white, navy or royal blue sweatshirts. They may have the North Central emblem on it. Hoodies are not allowed to be tucked under. Sweatshirts and jackets CANNOT have Nike checks nor Adidas stripes on them.
School purchased spirit shirts are also allowed to be worn. Both uniform shirts and spirit shirts must be tucked in at all times.
NO Nike checks nor Adidas stripes on sweatshirts nor jackets.
Tan or navy pants, shorts or skirts (young ladies). Shorts or skirts cannot be shorter than 4 inches from the knee.
Belt loops required with a solid color belt. NO studs allowed.

Good afternoon. The first day of school is finally upon us. Remember that students with the last names beginning with A-I are to report on Thursday, August 13. Students with the last names beginning with J-Z will report on Friday, August 14. Students are expected to be in school uniform. The Louisiana Legislature enacted Act 782 of the 2026 Regular Session, known as the Ivy Daniels Act, to protect children from crimes involving the creation, possession, dissemination, or sale of improper images created by artificial intelligence. Louisiana law is requiring public schools to provide information regarding this legislation.
A form will be sent home with your child after acknowledgement of the following:
● Received information regarding the Ivy Daniels Act (Act 782 of 2026).
● Understand the criminal, disciplinary, and financial consequences associated with unlawful dissemination, sale, and possession of images of another created by artificial intelligence.
● Reviewed this information with your child.

It's nothing short of amazing what we are able to do here at North Central High School. The teachers here are SUPERHEROES. They are responsible for so much but still find a way to get it done!!! Some of the best educators in the country. They are definitely built different. The school showed Mastery and Above GROWTH across all subjects. The best is yet to come!!!

North Central High School will accommodate additional precincts for the upcoming Saturday, June 27 elections. Please see the voting precinct updates below for St. Landry and Avoyelles Parish areas affected by recent flooding.
Please remember that Summer LEAP Retesting starts tomorrow. While we are still testing the subjects on the scheduled days, testing will be at MACA instead of North Central. If your student has to retest, he/she should have received a letter in the mail as well as several JCALL messages. If you have any questions, or cannot make it, please email Mrs. Provost at dprovost@slpsb.org. Thank you for your understanding.
