We're thrilled to announce that the OHS football team is heading to the Superdome in New Orleans on Friday, December 8, 2023, to face off against Cecilia High at 12:00 PM. To ensure the Opelousas community has the chance to cheer on the Tigers, all Opelousas High feeder schools will be closed on Friday, December 8.

Not only will you help stock the shelves but you will also help one MACA Senior receive the LifeScholars scholarship. Donations may be made in any senior's name whether you donate tomorrow or at another Lifeshare blood drive and/or blood center.

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the St. Landry Parish School Board administrative offices and all schools will close at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, and will remain closed for the rest of the week. We wish you all a safe and joyful Thanksgiving holiday.

MACE Announcement: Today we experienced a soft lockdown due to fireworks in the neighborhood. We are currently off lockdown and all students are well. We are resuming our normal schedule.
Bus L224 (Shiranda Beverley) from Northwest will not be running on tomorrow, November 2 (all day). She also will not be running on Friday afternoon, November 3. Unfortunately, there are no substitute bus drivers. Therefore, please make arrangements for transportation for your child. We apologize for any inconvenience.

At MACA's M&M Kickoff Event on Thursday, October 26, Freshmen met their mentors who will check in on them for the remainder of the school year in a colorful event focused on teambuilding and getting to know each other.

MACA's 2023 Spirit Week starts on Monday, October 30. For Monday-Thursday, the cost to participate daily is $1. Participation in Color Day is free. All attire must be school appropriate.
