Pedaling for Peace!

ELA teachers, S.S. teachers, Science teachers, PE teachers, instructional coaches, and school administrators participated in professional learning. Our guest presenter, Dr. Rodney Johnson, facilitated a Grammar Bootcamp to highlight instructional strategies for integrating grammar across the curriculum on our middle school campus. Our math teachers completed numeracy professional learning and our paraprofessionals attended a Zoom session to learn strategies to support our ESS students. Our school librarian engaged in an Imagine Learning PD. We are proud of our staff for growing and developing professionally! 💚🤍

Week 2 Football Schedule! 🏈🏈🏈

Beau Chene High School is excited to make a major announcement, the naming of our Football/Track/Soccer facility as: Gator Field @ Walter Davis Stadium The naming of the stadium will be made official on Saturday September 14, 2024 at their first home football game vs. Port Barre @ 6:00 PM. The ceremony will take place at halftime.

Important St. Landry Parish School District Announcement: After consulting with the Office of Emergency Preparedness, all schools and administrative offices will be open tomorrow, Thursday, September 12, 2024. However, please be aware that there may be transportation delays due to the aftermath of Hurricane Francine. Given the extensive geography of our parish, we understand that some areas may face challenges. If your family is experiencing storm-related difficulties that prevent your child from attending school, please reach out to the school to inform them. Families can register or learn more on the online portal or by visiting tutor.la.gov. Eligible families will select a high-quality tutoring provider through the parent portal. All tutors have been approved by the LDOE. Tutoring options are available virtually or in-person.

The Opelousas Senior High School football game will take place tonight, September 6, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. The location of the game has been moved to Teurlings Catholic High School due to the conditions of the field. Teurlings Catholic High School is located at 139 Teurlings Drive in Lafayette, La. Please come out and support our tigers.
